Yameeka Jones, FACHE, is an accomplished healthcare executive with 13 years of
hospital operations experience in various settings. She has served as the Chief
Executive Officer at Vibra Hospital of San Diego since March 2015. Ms. Jones
previously held the Chief Executive Officer position at Regency Hospital of South
Atlanta (a subsidiary of Select Medical) and Interim Chief Executive Officer at Select
hospitals in Augusta, GA and Dallas, TX. Prior to that, she served as Administrative
Director of Professional Services at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Ms. Jones is passionate about creating a positive, team-oriented culture within an
organization to achieve the highest quality of care for patients and a desirable work
environment for all employees and physicians.
In addition to her leadership role at Vibra, Ms. Jones is an active member of Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Xi Omega Chapter and serves on the Boards for
the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) Graduate Programs in Healthcare
Administration, San Diego Organization of Healthcare Leaders, American Heart
Association – San Diego Division, Hospital Association of San Diego and Imperial
Counties, and Auburn University Special Projects & Initiatives. In 2015, Ms. Jones
was appointed to a 3-year term with the American Hospital Association Long-Term
Care and Rehab Governing Council. She also serves as an ex-officio member of the
California Hospital Association’s Center for Post Acute Care Advisory Board. In
addition, she has been Board certified as a Fellow in the American College of
Healthcare Executives since 2014.
Yameeka received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Business minor
at Auburn University. She received her dual Master’s degree in Health Services
Administration and Business Administration with a certificate in Gerontology at the
University of Alabama at Birmingham.
